Should gay marriage be allowed? I am very much in support of homosexual people, this is because their being gay doesn't affect me, it doesn't affect their ability to function as people, and it certainly doesn't mean that they are bad. But this does not mean that they should be allowed to get married. I dislike all forms of religion because i believe that they lead to bloodshed, and to me marriage is a very religious thing, and i want to leave it alone. I do not think that the government should be involved in forcing an institution to accept members. The National Organization for Women i doubt would take male members, should they be forced to? On the other hand, there are many financial, and societal benefits and expectations, it is arguable that marriage is not just a religious institution now. My father is a notary, and he can marry people, a notary is a government related title. Tax benefits, and insurance, these are two things that can drastically affect peoples financial lives, and because gay people cannot marry, they cannot claim these benefits. I see two solutions to this problem.
a.) Revoke all privleges that come with marriage so it is only a religious title
b.) Allow gay people the right to marry
